Are any of you familiar with the Illbient genre? It's a a sub-genre of downtempo and closely related to trip hop. For the past 6 months or so this genre has been my obsession after I discovered the work of Sixtoo (Speakerbruiser, Six Vicious, Vaughn Robert Squire .. what ever he is going by these days :D) a producer hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I find Sixtoo to be brilliant, inspiring and outrageously talented. So far I only have two albums by him: "Jackals and Vipers in Envy of Man" and "Chewing on Glass and other Miracle Cures", which I have to say is one of the best albums from start to finish that I have ever heard along with War Stories by Unkle. I hope that he releases more great albums in the near future.
It's been a while since I've updated (man, you guys, I have like 6 blogs now that I'm solely running it's effing crazy!) So here's what I've been listening to obsessively lately.
Sixtoo - Chewing on Glass and Other Miracle Cures
Villain Accelerate (as side project collaboration of Sixtoo and Stigg of the Dump) - Maid of Gold
Unkle - War Stories
Sofa Surfers - Constructions: Remixed and Dubbed
Blockhead - Downtown Science
Delicious.
Well, I wanted to give a quick update. Talk to you soon

I Miss the 90s
WARNING! Random babble ahead!
I've been feeling a little bit nostalgic lately. I got a brand new computer all fresh with no music and as I began to download I found myself particularly attracted to 90's tracks that I loved as a kid. DON'T LAUGH, but I've been rocking out hardcore to Christina Aguilera, Nsync and Backstreet Boys ... (ok you have permission to laugh now.) I also have been drawn in to 90s rock, r&b, rap, dance, other pop ... Everything is bringing back so many memories of when I was a kid and a young teen so carefree, feeling like I'd be young forever, living a perfect childhood. Time flies to quickly!
I've come to conclusion that the 70s was the best era for music, however the 90s is hands down my favorite.
Damn, I totally loved this song and forgot about it

Finally, Another Britney Post
Every music magazine I received this week featured Britney Spears. Hundreds of blogs are covering her as well alls I gotts say is ..
I'm tired of trying to dissect this beeyotch. She's a waste in more ways than once. Do we really need to know how/why/when/what/where? More importantly who still gives a foook? I'd be happy if I never had to risk seeing her period panties again!
The end.
.......................................
Side note: Hey, guys! I'm finally making an appearance. I'm still working two jobs so its been hard to make the time to write about music. I'm quitting one job next month so I will finally have the time again. I'm really looking forward to coming back :)

BRB, Transitions!
I swear I'm not neglecting this blog! I'm in the process of switching homes and switching careers. I'll be back next week and posting sporadically over the next couple of weeks until I'm all settled.
In the meantime if you have any suggestions about things you'd like to see me write about email me and keep me updated! I'll try my best to post requests while I'm getting myself situated.
Hope everyone is doing well and rockin out.
Bridgette
P.S. this is probably my favorite song right now ..
I can't stop singing it!
