A Perfect Circle - Renholder (SotD#4)

Mer de Nomes is my favorite album by A Perfect Circle, and one of my favorite albums of all time. I thought the band in that era was amazing and meshed really well together and was sad to see that group dismembered with Thirteenth Step. Each song on Mer de Nomes was very distinct and imaginative, yett flowed together so nicely. Upon listening I felt as if I were actually roaming through a vividly described storybook, a dream, which shifted plots and phases on each page yet ended in a complete way. "Renholder" is one of my favorite songs from that album. The instrumental is quite mysterious yet hypnotizing. It reminds me of wandering through an enchanted forest and ending up dancing around a smoky, gypsy campfire The sounds of acoustic guitars, violins, pianos, drums and Maynard’s harmonious chanting entwining together to fill the air. Not many instrumental compositions are much better than this..

Mer de Nomes APC consisted of

Billy Howerdel: lead guitarist
Troy Van Leeuwen: guitar
Paz Lenchantin: bass guitar, violin
Tim Alexander/Josh Freese: percussion
Maynard James Keenan: vocals
