Introduction: Welcome to DEPUNKED!

My name is Bridgette Featherstone, or B. for short. I'm 22 years old and living in the United States.

I'm a music junkie. I love music. A LOT. You could say it's my anti-drug (Kudos to those who remember those commercials). I spent most of my teenage years working in the music industry as an intern and writer for major record labels and their artists (primarily rock bands) mostly in the departments of promotion, marketing and artist assistance. Once I graduated high school I started working towards a degree in Music Business with Piano as my primary instrument, a hobby I’ve practiced off and on for about 12 years now along with bass guitar which I began taking up at the age of 16. I also studied a bit of Journalism. Unfortunately, with the decline in the quality of music and the influx of mediocre musical acts, I didn't feel right or like I was being true to myself promoting artists that I thought sucked or had no musical interest in. I'm too passionate about good music to pay too much attention to the subpar ..

My other interests include playing video games (action, mystery /crime solving. I can beat anyone's GTA stats!), watching /collecting movies, make up artistry, attending concerts/dance clubs, reading novels (such suspense, horror, autobiographies and instructional), drawing/painting, sky-watching, storm-watching. Also I'm addicted to ice cream and over-priced frappuccinos.

Now that you know a little about me let's talk about the purpose of my blog. Simply, I created DEPUNKED! because I miss the work I once did in the music industry and needed an outlet to discuss past, current and future events of music I am interested in. I am opinionated, and somewhat knowledgeable in this area, so I enjoy sharing what I know with others. at the same time I enjoy benefiting from others and learning new things along the way. This is a place for me to be heard, and hopefully hear from other people who share common interest.
