Chris Cornell Is Enjoying Life as a Solo Artist

Ex-Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman, Chris Cornell spoke openly about the joys and freedom of being a solo artists rather than walking on eggshells and dealing with jealously-issues of bandmates. "I don't know how many times I've said no to [appearances] when I've been in bands, because they only wanted me," he says. These days, however, "I get more elder-statesman-of-rock offers than I used to, simply because I'm still around."

Chris also mentions it was easier to part with with Audioslave than it was Soundgarden, likening his split with Soundgarden to breaking up with his “first love”. "It might have been different if it had been something like Soundgarden, where it was, for the lack of a better term, my first love," he says. "With Audioslave, I didn't have that same connection. To fight through it just didn't seem worth it."

Negative Pete (8), James Blunt (7) and Howard Stern (5) the list included Simon Cowell (4), Ben Stiller (11), Josh Hartnett (9), Pete Doherty (1) and Ryan Phillippe (WHAT?! Can we say DILF?!)
